About the Swedish EIA Centre

The Swedish EIA Centre was established in 1999 and is a competence centre for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA). The Centre is situated at the Department of Urban and Rural Development at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, SLU.

The aim of the Swedish EIA Centre is to support an effective and efficient use of EIA and SEA. This is achieved by capacity building, networking, research and development studies.

The Swedish EIA Centre operates in cooperation with CTUP at Blekinge Tekniska Högskola.
